BOOKING & FAQ
FLASH
☆ Available flash designs can be found under the “store” page. Non-repeatable designs are first come, first serve. Repeatable flash will be available to anyone, so long as it is still available on the store page.
☆ All appointments are secured by a deposit (price varies depending on design). Deposit prices will be listed next to the design. Once a design is purchased and the appropriate information has been filled out, I will contact you via email to set up a date and time. I will try to do so within 2 weeks.
☆ If you cannot find a design from a flash drop on the store page, it is likely sold out and removed. Feel free to send me an email for something similar!
CUSTOM DESIGNS
☆ My current custom rate is $150/hr. To book a custom design, please see the “store” page and select the “custom design” option. Add this option to your cart and fill out the appropriate form. I will contact you via email upon receiving the request to discuss further details. I do my best to respond to all inquiries within 2 weeks.
☆ I have limited custom slots available per month. I will accept the custom inquiries that I believe best suit my style!
☆ I do reserve the right to forfeit any deposit if the situation calls for it. I don’t often do this.
☆ I do not send designs out before the appointment. This is to prevent art theft (taking the design to another artist), and to prevent any overthinking. If changes are needed, we can take care of it at the studio on the day of the appointment. Thank you for understanding.
PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT
☆ PLEASE: drink plenty of water beforehand, and ideally for a few days before your appointment if you don't usually do this already. 70 ounces is recommended for an adult's daily intake. This is equivalent to about 4 standard disposable water bottles. Please lotion your skin daily for a week or two prior to your appointment. Dry skin does not take ink easily and does not typically heal well.
☆ Please eat before your appointment. It is important to keep your blood sugar up! We do have snacks in the shop. If you have a longer session, I tend to order food or you may bring a packed meal!
☆ It is normal to get cold during a tattoo! Feel free to bring a hat, blanket, or a plushie. I do also have plushies you can squeeze.
☆ I am a bit wary of numbing cream. While it does make the process less painful, it does not last very long. This can be problematic with longer appointments. If you need to use numbing cream, please let me know via email. I would prefer to stay away from it if at all possible, as it complicates the tattooing and healing process. I am more lenient with it if you are getting a very sensitive area done (ie. stomach, ribs, etc.) I do have Bactine spray, which is a numbing agent and disinfectant, that I can use after linework is finished. It lasts about 20 minutes and I am able to use it more than once.
RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATIONS
☆ If you need to reschedule your appointment, please do so at least 1 week in advance. If you are sick the day of or have an emergency and cannot make it, please notify me as soon as possible via email.
☆ No-showing an appointment will forfeit your deposit and any upcoming appointments unless explained.
☆ If you reschedule more than once, I will require a new deposit. The original deposit will be forfeited to pay for lost time & income. I also reserve the right to repost the design if needed.
☆ If you are going to be late (15+ minutes) to your appointment, please let me know via email or instagram DM. If you are more than 20 minutes late with no notice, I will consider the appointment a no-show.
SHOP LOCATION
☆ I am currently working at Baby Baby Tattoo in Downtown, Minneapolis. The shop is located inside of the Kickernick Building at 430 N 1st Ave, Suite 730, Minneapolis MN, 55401.
☆ The outside of the building has a large “Kickernick Building” sign, accompanied by a logo of white scissors. If you are having trouble finding the door, please let me know via DM or email. Please try to open both of the double doors, the right door is often locked. The building is locked by default on the weekends and after 4pm. If the front door is not opening, you may enter through Hyderabad Indian Grill’s entrance. Please walk to the back of the restaurant and use the side door to enter the lobby.
☆ The shop is by appointment only. It is on the top floor of the building. The elevator requires a keycard, do not try to use it. When you arrive for your appointment, please send me an email. I will come get you! Feel free to sit on one of the couches.
☆ The studio is Downtown, Minneapolis. Here are a few parking options:
1.) Metered street parking. $3 an hour. Usually plenty of parking spaces directly outside the front door and on the sides of the building.
2.) Parking Ramp B & Parking Ramp C.
3.) Butler Park parking lot. Fine Line parking lot.
Because the studio is Downtown, please plan ahead and allow yourself enough time to find parking, especially if you are unfamiliar with the area. If you are parking on the street, please download the MPLS parking app to your phone and remember your license plate so you are able to refresh your parking payment during the appointment if needed. If you have any questions, I’m happy to help!
HEALING PROCESS & AFTERCARE
☆ SECOND SKIN: I prefer to wrap tattoos in a second skin bandage (Saniderm, Dermshield). This second skin bandage can be left on the tattoo for up to 4 days. You may sleep and shower with it on. Be aware that this bandage might cause slight irritation when worn for long periods of time. I personally have a bit of a reaction to it myself, but I ultimately find it to be worth it. When the time comes to remove it, it will be easier to do so in the shower. It may hurt a bit when you take it off. That is completely normal. It is also normal for the bandage to fill with fluid. If the fluid begins to leak out of the bandage or the seal has been broken in anyway, please remove the bandage immediately. Wash thoroughly with unscented, anti-bacterial soap such as Dial. Continue to clean the area and moisturize with unscented lotion as needed for the remainder of the healing process. Please note that it will typically take anywhere from 2-3 weeks for it to completely heal. If it is taking longer than that and you have concerns, please let me know.
☆ SOAKER PAD/PLASTIC WRAP: If you have sensitive skin or an adhesive allergy, you may opt to use a soaker pad and/or plastic wrap in lieu of the second skin bandage. Please remove this 1-2 hours after you leave the shop. Once removed, keep the tattoo as clean as possible. Wash at least 3 times a day with unscented anti-bacterial soap (such as Dial) and apply a thin layer of Aquaphor to the area after doing so. The Aquaphor will act as a barrier so bacteria cannot enter the wound site. Continue this process for a few days, then switch from Aquaphor to unscented lotion.
☆ Please do not subject your fresh tattoo to dirt, sunlight or sweat. Please refrain from swimming, exercising, camping, etc. These activities will cause your tattoo to be more susceptible to infection.
